I just got back from taking my 6 year old Grandson, Aaron to see Where the Wild Things Were. We both liked the movie. Having been in child care and teaching preschool and kindergarten for 23 yrs, I've read the book many times. It may be a little scary to my 3 yr old Grandson, so I'm glad I checked it out first before bringing him. Since it was a Thursday, there were only four of us in the theater. I told Aaron I had reserved the theater for us and to be nice I let the other two people join us, he got a kick out of that!

The Secret for Kids

Here is one of my favorite pictures of three of my Grandsons, Aaron, Tymon and Ryan. I knew I'd love being a Grandma, but it's better than I ever imagined! I have one more grandson, Jeramiah, I'll post the picture of that little rascal when I blog next time.

As most of my friends and clients know I love the movie The Secret and the message it conveys. Just yesterday I discovered a new book: The Secret to Teen Power by Paul Harrington. I ordered two copies, one for my oldest Grandson, Tymon who lives in Connecticut, and one for myself. I'm always looking for ways to teach all my Grandsons the Law of Attraction and this book looks like an excellent way to do just that. I plan on reading it with Tymon over Skype. The reviews I read on Amazon were great, I'll let you know what Tymon and I think of it!

Another wonderful find!

People who know me are constantly amazed at the things that literally just fall into my life, with intentions alone. Sunday morning I was sitting on my deck, enjoying the beautiful cool day and I noticed that it's time to replace a couple of boards and re-stain it. While looking at the boards I thought to myself "l intend that I have a long tape measure so I can easily figure out how long these boards are." That afternoon while driving to the square in McKinney I see in the middle of the intersection, where Virginia meets 75, a new tape measure, in the middle of the road. I start to laugh, pull over into a parking lot and wait for the traffic to slow down so I can rescue my new tape measure. Everyone is being careful not to run over it, of which I am grateful. I finally step out into the street, after taking a pic of it with my cell, and retrieve the tape measure the Universe has sent to me! This happens all the time to me, I set the intention and there it is! Often right in the road or on the side of the road. The picture of the tape measure was very small on my phone, I found this picture on the internet of the exact same tape measure I found.

School has started...

When I was a kid summer seemed to last forever. I just loved the fun days in the country, picking strawberries, blueberries and vegetables right out of the garden. We used to eat the sweet peas straight out of the pods, pull the baby carrots out of the dirt and rinse them with the hose before taking a bite. There was always an abundance of tomatoes which we would eat like apples.

Once I had my kids summers started to fly by, everything flew by.

I've raised my two daughters and now I've got four Grandsons. Time keeps flying by, I am so grateful to know that I've got many more years here to enjoy them. I love the summers & being able to enjoy watching them swim, even the youngest one who just turned three can swim. In the winter I still get excited when I hear there's a "snow day". It triggers the joy I had as a kid in Connecticut when they announced "Mansfield schools are closed". We would be so happy. We'd spend the day making igloos and having snowball fights. We'd go ice skating on the pond up the street and take walks in the blinding snow. From what I remember there were mostly westerns on TV and no video games- we'd have to stay outside almost all day. We always found something to do, and we had fun.

It's wonderful that we can make memories for the kids in our lives to treasure, though sometimes it's a challenge to get them away from the video games!

Intending Circles

I am always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to teach the Law of Attraction and have recently come across Intending Circles. My Mastermind4Success partner, Jane is on LOA Blog Radio show Monday nights, she recently interviewed Tony Burroughs the author of The Intenders Handbook. Intenders deliberately create whatever they intend to by expressing gratitude, choosing their words wisely, they state what they intend adding that it must be for the highest good of all. They get together for Potluck suppers once a week, express gratitude, state their intentions and have had amazing results. They also state their intentions outloud every morning and then go on to enjoy their day, knowing that what they have intended is on it's way. They believe this is an abundant world, with enough for everyone. I will be starting an Intenders Circle in McKinney, TX, free to anyone who would like to join me. Check back to see when this circle will be started. In the meantime if you would like to learn more go to www.intenders.com. Happy Creating!

Attracting the outcomes you desire!

I never cease to be amazed by the progress of my many clients. I've been working with one woman who has been using the tools I've given her and just today informed me that she has cured herself of cancer. She, inline with focusing on what she chose for herself, never mentioned to me that she was told by her Dr she had cancer several places in her body. She simply focused on what she wanted- to have a body that was well. She wrote her gratitude lists and gratitude intentions regularly. She meditated and did everything suggested at my Mastermind4Success (http://www.meetup.com/Master-Minds-4-Success/) meet-up as well as during her coaching sessions with me. The Dr.s performed surgery to remove the cancer and found no cancer,it was gone! Literally a whole new world has opened for her because she focused what she desired and took inspired action to be in joy!
Even kids know that the most important thing is that you feel good!

Law of Attraction

I am consistantly amazed at what wonderful experiences I attract into my life! I spent the evening with friends enjoying the play Heartbreak Hotel at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in downtown McKinney, Texas. My friend Janye Anderson was performing in the play and generously gave me free tickets! After the play we went on Shannon's carriage ride around the historical district in McKinney. Shannon's white horses that pull the carriage are beautiful. Shannon is very knowledgable about the history of McKinney, hearing about all the homes and seeing them from her carriage is so much fun. After our carriage ride we sat outside on the square and enjoyed each others company. It was a wonderful evening!

If you live in the McKinney area, come on down to the square, the atmosphere is wonderful and the area has such good energy. If Shannon isn't off with her carriage sharing her stories, you'll find her outside Rick's Chop House, waiting for the next lucky couple or group of friends who decide to finish their night off in style with her and her horses!

Hello Everyone!

Our Come As You Want To Be Party was a tremendous success! We had a lot of fun, everyone that came was so positive, supportive and enthusiastic! My good friends Tonya and Kevin Knott
video tapped a portion of the party, it will be on U Tube. Amber from Skywolf Photography was our professional photographer, I'll let you know when the photos are available to be viewed. We gave away wonderful Law of Attraction gifts, in fact everyone received a gift! The energy in the room was so powerful as we all listened to each other telling our fantastic success stories, sharing photo albums of trips, as well as awards, magazine covers, and books published. The creativity and originality was awesome. We will be having a 2 year reunion, it will be so exciting to hear the new successes as we continue on our wonderful journeys!

Focus on Your Success

I would like to announce my new business Focus on Success and welcome you to my life changing informational blog. My goal is to empower attendees of my meet-ups; Mastermind4Success and Tea & Tap, as well as my wonderful clients, and you the reader of my blog with tools to deliberately create the wonderful lives you choose to live.

Previously I have been empowering others to eliminate fears, become non-smokers, and more effective public speakers. Basically I have helped anyone who had something they chose to improve or eliminate in their lives. Due to genuine caring, consistent support and ongoing communication with my clients it was brought to my attention that I have created myself as a success coach.

This blog is being created as one of the many ways I use to share my successes and be an inspiration to others. I will focus on some of the tools I've used to empower me to attract the people, situations and events into my life I enjoy. I'd like to point out that the word enjoy usually brings up the vision of an experience that is fun, positive, all good. While I do enjoy pleasing experiences, when I enjoy something it also refers to people, situations or events that I derive a benefit from. When someone shows me a behavior I choose not to replicate, I appreciate the contrast they are showing me and I am grateful for the ability to behave in a manner that feels better to me. For example when I used to pay for something in the store and the cashier would hand me my bag, if I would say "Thank you" if they didn't respond I saw them as rude and allowed it to annoy me. Sometimes I would sarcastically say "You're welcome!" as I walked away. This didn't really make me feel any better. I'm now able to enjoy the situation by realizing that the world is a place where we have many contrasts which we can appreciate. I allow myself to be the type of person I choose to be. If I do come across someone who behaves in a way I don't like, I'll say to myself "Thank you for the contrast, I choose to be a pleasant person." I also now use my power to experience positive interactions by focusing on appreciating the pleasant people I attract; I find myself attracting more pleasant people this way.
